Please submit your grad's baby picture to dtsssendins@gmail.com

There will be a slide show at the dinner, we are looking for “through the years” photos of the grads. This can be class photos from Windermere elementary, Edgewater elementary, J.A Laird, and Eileen Madson. Pictures from sports teams, pictures from “fun days” at school or field trips. These pictures can be forwarded to 12al.neal@gmail.com

Grad Fundraisers

During the month of April and May there will be donation boxes at our local liquor stores accepting cash donations with all support going towards dry grad May 5 - Su Casa Authentic Mexican Kitchen in Fairmont will be hosting a Cinco de mayo celebration with funds going towards grad May 18 - the grad students will be running a car wash at the Invermere Firehall We will also be holding another bottle drive in the month of May, more details to follow soon.

Timeline of events

  • Wednesday June 26 - family grad photos will run through the day. The grad will will be in the evening immediately followed by the grad dinner at the Columbia Valley Centre
  • Thursday June 27 - graduation ceremony will be held in the gymnasium at David Thompson Secondary School, grad will continue to the dry grad celebration immediately following the grad ceremony
  • Friday June 28 - grad will return to the school from the dry grad celebrations

Parent volunteers

We will need parent volunteers for Dry Grad, in order to volunteer for dry grad you must have a current criminal record check on file with DTSS. A sign up sheet will be created and parents will be notified on how to sign up as soon as that is available.

Each year, as part of a continuous improvement cycle, Rocky Mountain School District develops an operational plan that outlines the goals and strategies that will be the focus of the work for the upcoming year. This plan is guided by the current 4-year strategic plan using a variety of student data as the foundation for decision making, schools develop school success plans that identifies targets for improving student learning.
